A headlight construction in which a rear facing bulb shines onto an elliptical reflector which then focuses and projects the light back out of the headlight. This construction is usually found on European automobiles since it is easy to adjust from right side to left side driving, but is usually more expensive. This construction also provides a better light cut off, meaning less stray light will shine into oncoming drivers' eyes.
