A type of forced induction which uses a compressor to increase the pressure of the air entering each cylinder. This added pressure adds power to the engine. The compressor is powered by the crankshaft of the engine. As the speed of the engine increases, the added power of the super charger also increases. This direct link which is present in a Super Charger prevents Turbo Lag.
