A type of alloy wheel. This term originally refered to wheels made from an alloy of iron and magnesium. The magnesium was used to prevent corrosion of the iron. Today aluminum and chrome are more common alternatives to magnesium in preventing corrosion, and the term Mag Wheels is sometimes used to refer to alloy wheels in general.
