A clutch is a device used to connect two rotating shafts, specifically in an automobile, a clutch is used to connect the flywheel of the engine to the transmission. A clutch is made up of two plates which spin on two seperate rotars. When these plates are pushed together, the rotors are forced to spin at the same speed.
